Busy, But Still Want To Give Back?

You may want to be more involved and volunteer, but most days you don’t have as much time as you’d like. And it’s okay! There are other ways to give back that don’t require a lot of your time. Here are a few things that you can do to fit community service into your packed schedule without disrupting the flow.

  1. Choose your Projects Wisely
    • Make sure it’s something you’ll enjoy and want to make time for OR
    • Make sure it already suits your schedule.
    • And if you know you won’t be able to make it every week, try once a month or attend at least one event.
  2. Passive Contribution
    • If you can’t physically attend a volunteer activity, try donating:
      • Supplies
      • Money
      • Clothes
    • Go online and spread the word via email or social media.
      • Tell your friends and family about an organization that resonates with you.
  3. Volunteer Remotely
    • If there’s nothing within your area or nearby, look online for volunteering opportunities.
      • Mentorship or tutoring
  4. Use volunteering as a memorable activity for you and your friends/family.
  5. Start a volunteer program at your work
    • It helps to build deeper connections with co-workers while improving leadership skills.

Every little thing counts.
